Services
McLaughlin Consulting Group (MCG), a team of experienced professionals, provides a range of reports and consulting services relating to electronic displays. Clients include computer and entertainment system companies, channel participants, and display manufacturers and their suppliers.
Much of our recent work has focused in four areas:
• Markets, technology, human factors and channels for headsets, near-eye, and projection display products based on microdisplays.
• Market opportunities and the competitive environment for displays in the Internet appliance space.
• Emerging opportunities for plastic substrate and reflective color displays.
• Impact of digital television on computer and home displays.
Conference
MCG is a co-sponsor of the Projection Industry Summit Confererence held annually in conjunction with Infocomm. The 2003 conference was held June 1-2 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Florida.
Products
1. Annual Microdisplay Market and Technology Report. Includes a five year forecast and competitive assessment.
2. The microdisplay report series includes projector throughput and cost models, an analysis of available projection lamps, and additional reports on microdisplays and headsets.
3. Flat Panel Substrates, Films, and Coatings. MCG has completed an extensive array of custom projects related to opportunities for plastic materials, semiconuctors, and films and coatings for displays.
4. Human Factors. MCG has completed an in depth analysis of human factor issues related to near eye displays.
5. The digital TV series looks at the impact of DTV on computer and home displays.
Custom Projects
The MCG team is especially experienced in assessing new business and product opportunities, formulating market and channel strategies, preparing business plans, and supporting financing. Clients range from large multi-national companies to Silicon Valley start ups.
